Conditions of Entry and Disclaimer

While we have taken every reasonable precaution to make these activities safe, Warkworth Walks Incorporated and its Members cannot be held responsible for any accidents or injuries that occur during the event.

We ask that after registration, you read your confirmation letter carefully to ensure that you are prepared for your chosen activity. Participants should ensure that their fitness level is appropriate for the walk. (Refer to walks grades). Special Note: Grade 4 and 5 walkers must be at least 14 years old.
No dogs permitted on the walks.

Cancellation or Changes

The organizers reserve the right to cancel the event or trail at short notice. The main risk we face this year are weather related incidents, including slips and floods that may impact our walks. Naturally, we will be hoping for the best and doing everything we can to make sure the walks proceed.

Additionally, should you need to cancel your ticket due to testing positive for Covid 19, please advise the organizers as soon as possible via our email, info@warkwothwalks.co.nz. Please note that our refund policy will apply to cancellations within two weeks of the event.

Any news of cancellations or alterations to the schedule of walks will sent out via our Facebook page and e-mail to our database. Closer to the event, we will also be able to take advantage of texting your mobile phones so please make sure you take the time to fill in that section of your order form. It is particularly important this year.

In the event of cancellations, we should be able to offer refunds so please check those details in the next section.

Refunds

In the event that Warkworth Walks Inc. cancels any walk, we cannot guarantee refunds but will do our very best to reimburse funds where we can retrieve that money from suppliers, less running/admin costs. In the past, we have been able to refund around 85% of the ticket cost to customers but this will be dependent on how close the cancellation date is to the event date. As a non-profit organisation, we have to cover the costs incurred in setting up the event before we can calculate a refund. Again, because of the risk of Covid-19, we advise you to consider the implications of a refund only being a reduced proportion of the original cost. If you have any worries or questions about our refund policy, please feel free to contact us.

In situations where our customers have made a mistake or find themselves unable to attend a walk, we will allow full refunds on ticket sales up to 14 days after we open bookings and then 50% refund up to two weeks before the event begins. Within two weeks of the event beginning, there will be no refunds. Sorry but it is too close to the event to be practicable.

We try our best to resell tickets to any customers who are on waiting lists and, if we are successful, you can expect a refund, excluding booking fees.
